Services
Steve Smith founded pegasus construction in 2003.
Steve has over 25 years of construction experience in
a wide range of construction in the u.s. and in england.
He has developed an 112 acre subdivision. He was the
division manager, head of purchasing and construction
for a california company starting up in texas. Steve is
a decorated veteran who served with the British
Military.
Chris McQuinn has been a partner in Pegasus
Construction since 2007 and serves as the construction
manager. Chris has over 12 years of experience in a wide
range of construction. He worked his way up to a
project manager position for a local home builder
where he was in charge of the sales and construction
of 5 subdivisions. He served in the Texas Army National
Guard for 10 years. He was deployed for the space shuttle
columbia recovery mission and commanded an armor
company during combat and support operations in
support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III.

registered installer for NuDura insulated
concrete forms. We are a dealer and installer
for Logix insulated concrete forms. We are
an authorized independent dealer of
Rockford Steel Buildings. Also, we are the
only dealer for webinetry.com, custom
cabinets in texas.
We custom designed and built this dream tree house. It is made out of all cedar with cedar shake shingles.

One playhouse has a fireman's pole and a spiral tube slide.
This is a custom treehouse that has a fireman pole, burmese rope bridge, trap door, and
a spiral tube slide. Steve sat down with the 9yr old boy to design his dream treehouse. This
project was a lot of fun, because we got to interact directly with him, and see how much he
enjoyed his treehouse when it was complete. It is made out of all cedar with cedar shake shingles.

Cabinets are by Webinetry and installed by Pegasus Constuction. We are the only dealer for Webinetry in Texas.

Insulated Concrete Forms:
The home is stronger than conventional framing - The monolithic, steel
reinforced concrete will provide the basis for our products tornado resistance.
With the use of Steel roof trusses, which will be attached to the structure
by bolts embedded into the ICF walls, and metal roofing system, the resistance of
the completed structure to high winds will be greatly improved. The walls
withstand 400 MPH winds and have been successfully tested against debris flying
at speeds in excess of 110 mph, which is the speed debris flies in 90% of tornados.
Energy efficient reducing utility bills - The air tight walls with R22 insulating
value, the thermal mass of the concrete and the ability to smooth out large
swings in temperature means that a conventional home would have to be
insulated to a value of not less than R50 to match the performance of this
system.
Lower Insurance Rates - The house is considered to be masonry construction,
which provides lower insurance rates. The home will be termite resistant. With
no wood framing, there is no food source for the termites.

More Facts About
TheFire rated - The ICF system is flame retardant. The six-inch wall
provides a three-hour plus protection. The ignition temperature is higher
than that of conventional framing and provides a flame spread index of
25 or less and a smoke development of 450 or less when tested under ASTM E84.
The home is air tight leading to less allergy problems - The ICF system that we
have chosen to use in our homes features a tongue and groove joint assembly
on the expanded polystyrene forms that minimizes thermal heat transfer.
With the addition of an air exchanger and filter, the home will be 96 to 98% dust,
allergen and pollution free.
The home is sound proofed from the outside - The system provides sound
insulation at 53dB+ with the six-inch application. In conjunction with high
quality windows, this far exceeds anything else being offered on the market
at this time.
Mold issues limited - In conjunction with the steel interior framing and roof
trusses any mold issues will be limited.

This is a conversion of a home in Georgetown to a restaurant. All new electrical and plumbing
HVAC was put in. We added bathrooms and pulled the original trim and reinstalled it after
the conversion and custom built the bar. We rebuilt the front porch and exposed the original
siding. We also built an addition for part of the kitchen.Pegasus leveled the floor and turned
it into a restaurant installing grease tanks and new sewer lines. This restaurant is now
historically correct and registered with the historically society after Pegasus Construction
remodled it.

2008. Melissa has 8 years of experience in construction
accounting. She is working towards becoming certified
as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor. She enjoys volunteering
for local youth organizations.
Monte Jernigan has been with Pegasus Construction for
over 2 years. Monte came to Pegasus Construction with
experience installing time, granite coutertops,
woodworking, building and installing custom cabinets,
and landscaping. He has expanded his construction
knowledge and skills since joining the Pegasus Team.
